Ongo: Your News Like Never Before was a 24/7 'personal digital news service' formed in September 2010 in Cupertino, California as a joint venture
of Gannett, The New York Times, and The Washington Post. The service was ad-free and deliverable to various PC browsers and to smartphones & tablets;
basic subscriptions began around $7/month, which delivered selected New York Times, Washington Post, Associated Press, USA TODAY, and Financial Times
content, plus one optional source. Further optional sources were available at 99¢/month each; at startup, the list included 35 optional local paper 'titles',
including Slate. The official launch was January 2011 and the service shut down at the end of May 2012.
