Mike Malloy, former host on Air America Radio, coined the useful term ‘Bush Crime Family’, because much of what the current administration does is illegal and-or clandestine, and their tactics match those of the Mafia or Cosa Nostra crime organizations.
The business of the Bush Gang is not to govern the country, but the permanent takeover by force, by un-Constitutional means, by lies and threats and propaganda, of America – and installing a fascist dictatorship.

        Having already committed murder and treason and a slew of war crimes, violating various treaties including the U.S.-generated Geneva Convention of 1949, and abject refusal to enforce over 750 laws (the ‘signing statements’ fallacy), these crooks are not above simple blackmail.
        The secret warrantless wiretaps were begun before September 11, just weeks after taking over the White House. These illegal wiretaps and the outsourced illegal data-mining programs were entirely successful; that the illegal information has not been used to thwart al Qaeda is intentional.
        One of the things that the Bush Gang has done with the secret data-gathering & surveillance programs is to blackmail a few key opponents into fear-driven surrender.

        I figure that there are three obvious victims, based on recent public actions which have no other explanation. (Other victims are less prominent and harder to pinpoint; there are probably dozens, if not scores.)
        The various blackmail cases might be about sex or money or some other minor transgression which may not even be illegal, but is merely sordid enough to threaten the victim’s personal life or their political future: probably more hanky-panky than felony incidents.

        Senator John McCain stopped his verbal opposition to Bush’s policies, and his speech and demeanor of late point to damage to his previous independent cussedness that was never broken during his lengthy torture in Hanoi.
        And Senator Barbara Boxer stood behind the licker-of-G.O.P.-boots Senator Joe Lieberman going into the Connecticut primary – because she was ordered to.
        Sen. Joe is now under the absolute beck-and-call of the Republican Party. They have him by the short hairs, and he is extremely unhappy about it. It is logical to assume that he is victimized by some dirt uncovered by the Bush-Rove surveillance machinery.
        Karl Rove phoned Sen. Joe on the day after Joe’s primary loss; that call was announced as offering ‘support’ for Joe into the November general election – while the official G.O.P. candidate has been ignored.
        However, virtually everything the Bush administration states publicly is a lie. So it is not out of bounds to look for reasons why Lieberman is now a Republican favorite, and a lackey to the Bush Gang. And it is entirely consistent with the Bush Gang’s history to conclude that that call from Rove to Lieberman was actually for the purpose of tightening the screws and telling Sen. Joe what is going to happen if he loses to Ned Lamont in November.
        Sen. Joe Lieberman is a victim of political blackmail, and now even more dangerous to the Constitution than before, because he is scared. He is a cornered rat.
        As are others on both sides.

The case of Gov. Blanco in Louisiana shows a different form of such blackmail: She ordered that nobody in her office will criticize Bush & the assistance to Katrina victims because whenever anyone does, the money-tap is shut off and nothing happens – until she or someone else goes begging to the Feds.

The Bush Gang operates from a playbook partly modeled from “Mein Kampf” and Hitler’s diplomatic moves, along with intentional mistreatment of vast populations – the atrocities at Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib and New Orleans and Darfur and Baghdad – and partly modeled after tactics gleaned from Mafia and Stalinist history.

        YOU are in danger. The U.S. Constitution is in jeopardy, and World War Three is imminent. (The War in Iran is already begun.)
        Every seat under contention in the U.S. November general election is critical. From state legislators to governors to all 435 Congressional races to the 33 Senate seats [of Class I], every vote for a Republican candidate is a vote against the U.S. Constitution and a vote for fascist dictatorship.
        This is a terrible moment in history, one that should not have been allowed to happen.
        But really bad things will happen unless YOU get into the fight and make a literal stand for Freedom and against totalitarianism, in all forms and all locations.

The Mafia operates freely where the people show no opposition, and the Bush Gang will institute more and more totalitarian – ‘unitary executive’ – policies unless they are stopped, and November 7th is the critical moment.
